DeviantART is unique and invaluable because artists pool their resources and let you use their works for free. Please be polite and show appreciation for the deviant’s donated time and talent.

2. Give Credit – Don’t Steal!
If you use something created by another deviant, even if you modified it, post their Deviant ID and a link to the original work in your “Artist’s Comments.” Don’t claim it as your own.

3. Inform the Artist
Most Deviants will be thrilled to hear that you have made use of their work, especially if they put it under the Resource category. Give them the satisfaction and let them see the fruits of their labor.

4. Ask Permission for Use Elsewhere
If you plan to use a deviant’s work on another site, especially commercially, ask the artist first!

5. The Golden Rule
Some rules are unspoken. If you wouldn’t want it happening to you, don’t do it to anyone else!
